As promised, here are my versions of little treat boxes for Halloween this year! The plan is to make enough of these for Isaiah to take for all his little friends at preschool. Last year our bags with his picture were a hit, so I'm hoping these will be too! :)
I will once again be the mean mommy and put things like wedding size bubbles, silly putty, bouncy balls, etc. in them instead of candy. Mean mean mean, I know! hehe
Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket (Haunted)
Blackboard: Cosmo Cricket
Rub-ons: Cosmo Cricket
Stickers: Cosmo Cricket
Stamps: Cosmo Cricket
Ink: Distress Ink (Black Soot)
Jewels: Kaiser Crafts
I had SO much fun making these! The little speech bubble is a punch by Fiskars, and I used a stamp from the Haunted stamp set to add the "treat" to it.
These are super simple to do, I just undo the take-out box, and lay it flat onto my patterned paper of choice. Then I trace around it and cut it out. Next I just adhere it to the box, this was the inside is still food safe, then fold it back up. You can reinsert the metal handles they come with, but I like to switch it up with some glittery brads for fun :)
Thanks for popping by!!
Btw, I'm setting a goal for myself to post EVERY day in October... we shall see how that goes ;)
Oh yeah, I can't remember the exact site we got our boxes from, but a quick google search will find them all over the place, and usually pretty cheap.. All else fails, Ebay is a great option.
