Need to pout for a minute..

Because today has been a bit tiring, and disappointing, and I'm feeling emotional.

I have been so excited for my first Midwives appointment today, only for it to be switched last minute till next week. Ah well.. I guess I just need to exercise some patience :)

I'm also having a wee bit of a pity party over a nursery. I didn't get one with either of my boys, and I won't get one with this my last babe either. It feels like I'm missing a huge milestone, and it hasn't especially bothered me until today. It's just getting me down today, which i know is silly. There are so many worse things in life that I feel selfish and petty for letting this get me down, SOoo... I am going to pout today, and then get over it.

The boys are especially driving me crazy tonight, and I'm thankful for a DH that steps in when he see's the steam rising from my ears ;)

Also, I'll be away working on a few things that will keep me busy for the next while, and I won't have much to share. Which is good for me, but not so good for the lively hood of my blog. :p

I already feel better typing this out btw. Thank goodness for blog-therapy. lol

Sorry you don't get your nursery. But, i am glad you feel better getting it off your chest! :)

I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve:) And you shouldn't feel bad about feeling bad for the nursery--that probably just makes you feel worse! Recognize that you are disappointed, and thats ok, and then go from there.
Hmph. I sound like a therapist:)

Neither of my kids got a "traditional" (in my dream, Pottery Barn) nursery either, but you know what - they grow up so fast, that in retrospect, I'm glad we didn't, even though my heart was set on it then. It's okay. I think it's more fun to give them a fun room/playroom they actually enjoy for years. And your play room looked way cool!

Looking forward to seeing what you'll be working on!

Hi Laurie! Don't worry about the updates on the blog...we all go through "dry" spells! Good luck with your pregnancy and keep the ultimate goal in mind when you are thinking of the "small stuff."

Chin up! Take care and take it easy---love your children (which you do!) and it will be alright! :) I'll try and be patient to see what you've been working on!

You pout away! Sometimes we need to have a little pitty party in order to get through things. Big hugs just blame it on the hormones. Good luck on all of your work. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

So sorry you're so emotional right now, BUT, it comes w/the territory. Just know you're not the only one that has had feelings like this.....you'll feel better soon. Can't wait to see what you're creating!!

Congrats on the new addition Lulu! FWIW, neither of my kids had a nursery, they slept in our room/bed until they were ready to sleep on their own...by that time they were 3 yo, LOL. We're redecorating their big kid rooms this summer though, I guess that kind of makes up for the lack of nursery. BTW, I LOVE YOUR NEW ERGO!!!!!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I saw no other way to contact you. I really enjoyed the work you did in the April Cards magazine. Your blog is great. Congrats on the new baby and all the joy that comes with it. I was wondering if you could tell me what acrlyic butterfly you used on the "HI" card on page 121. The only ones I could find from maya road were a keychain and a 6 inch album. Thank you very much. tinamtorres@hotmail.com
