First off. Thanks so much for your sweet comments and private messages on my last post. I really expected to just hear crickets, and contemplated deleting it the moment I posted it.. Glad I didn't :)
My husband is home sick today, and I'm not feeling the greatest, but I thought I'd take a moment to post anyway.
I know it's a bit past new years, so I'm really late to the party, but I thought I'd share a few thoughts on my resolutions. I am going easy on myself. After 33yrs I am pretty confident in knowing my limits and what makes a reasonable resolution. I know there seems to be a trend lately amongst people to just buck the whole idea. Personally I'm not sure I ever will. I think it's a great thing to try and better yourself. In fact I'm pretty sure that will always be my goal for the rest of my days.
So with that idea of bettering myself I try to choose resolutions with a positive spin. For example I'm not going to say no chocolate for a year, or something silly like that. I need a nibble every now and then and would be setting myself up for failure. I love resolutions that are easier to keep like "Drink more water". Which is absolutely one I made. I picked up a glass water bottle and intend to do better in the water department. I know it's recommended to start your day with 2 glasses of water to rehydrate yourself after fasting while sleeping (unless you are a sleep eater/drinker ;), so I'm trying to make that a habit too.
I love to walk, it makes my soul happy. I am so not a runner, and I'm okay with that. However last year I developed nasty shin splints. Once again, I made an assumption that the shin pain I had was my Fibro and kept trying to push past it. Eventually I discovered it was actual shin splints and me pushing it had only made them worse :( So I've taken a few months off my big walks in hopes of healing them up. Yesterday I bought a new pair of runners and am really hoping I can get back into my walks. Time will tell. But because I'm not sure of my walking status I am making a resolution to give Yoga a try. Eeps! This is so new for me, I've never taken a class, or ever tried it past Wii Fit, and I'm pretty sure that doesn't count. hehe
So at this point I'm setting the bar easy and only talking myself with doing it 1-2x a week. I also have to do it from home and am going to use YouTube to hopefully find good instructions. I don't drive so getting to our cities location is not possible. Do you do Yoga? Do you like it? Am I silly to try doing this on my own? Please let me know :)
In a perfect world I want to do weight lifting. But again, I know my Fibro limits and that's just not in the cards quite yet. I need to strengthen my body more, and need equipment. I still do what I can though.
So I think for me, that's it! I want to drink more water, walk more, and start yoga. Nothing crazy, nothing that I'm going to beat myself up with. Just tiny steps to better myself, and I'm okay with that.
And for a craft share, here is a card set I made for the October Afternoon blog last month.
Go here to see the inspiration image I used for these cards.
Happy Monday my friends! :)

I too have decided to start yoga, and have been doing it for a whole 2 or so weeks! :) I've been using Yoga With Adriene on YouTube- very beginner-friendly I think. :)
I have to tell you when I first started Yoga I laughed at myself, I felt like an IDIOT but the more I did it the more I liked it. I took a few month break and went back--it actually feels GOOD to me to connect to myself breathe--it's AWESOME, and no it's not weird you do yourself! I really don't like to have my family home when I do it because I feel like they are watching me like I'm the show... ;) SERIOUSLY love the cards--inspirational!
Very pretty cards. I have never tried yoga but as a 12 year Fibro patient, I have had many, many physical therapy sessions. My physical therapist told me that I should never try lifting weights. She said that Fibro makes you muscles very tense and so does lifting. I know everyone is different, but you might want to rethink the weights. I love walking too.
I love how fresh & fun your cards are...such pretty colors.
I'm totally with you on trying to incorporate attainable goals in 2015.
I started yoga, 3 months ago. And I feel great. These cards are very beautiful. Love the colours. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for sharing your story. I have always loved your blog (your projects are so fresh & pretty) and I double loved your videos on 2peas. Glad you came back and that you feel inspired to share your families stories here. People will be people. Some are sweet like inside & out like Oreo's and some are just like bad guacamole, just yucky. Take care and TFS....
Yoga can be a good solution to your articulations. It gives to you flexibility.
For Shin Splints I think you should visit this site http://never-never-never-give-up.com , it's my blog. I suffered from them for 6 years. It was so painful experience. You need appropriate exercise program for this kind of problem.
